We usually visit the home once each day, but can visit more or less often, as you wish. During the visit we feed according to your instructions, provide fresh drinking water and clear the litter tray. We like to check the animals daily, and can medicate where necessary.

On the rare event of your pet becoming unwell in your absence, we will ensure veterinary attention is sought when necessary, and from the animals usual veterinary surgeon if possible.

Mail is gathered away from the front door, and out of sight of front windows. Lights and curtains or blinds can be adjusted if you wish, to create an impression of occupancy.

Houseplant watering is offered free of charge (but must be requested). Garden and larger conservatory watering may be subject to an extra charge. Any other requests can be discussed at the time of our initial meeting.

The normal cost for our pet minding service is £10.00 per first visit per day second visits are £7.00. If a third visit is needed, that is at the lower rate of £5.00 and is not dependant on the number of pets in the household (within reason). However, there are higher rates for clients with a large number of small pets that require hutch or cage cleaning out. These rates are agreed of the time of interview.

We expect the owner to provide enough food and sundry items (litter, waste bags etc) to last for the duration of the booking. There may be a surcharge if we need to replenish these items, at our discretion. We can also arrange to have your essential shopping items bought in for your return e.g. bread, milk, eggs. A list for this shopping can be left for the sitter on the first day of the visits.

Charges do not increase over the Christmas and New Year period or bank holidays providing you book these in advance. Payment for the service is expected before the sitter's first visit by cash or cheque; this can be arranged at your assessment visit.

A full report will be left for you by the sitter and any questions you have can be addressed when you get back from your trip If it's the first time you have used a sitter then we can arrange for the sitter to update you by e-mail, fax or text wherever you are as long as you leave contact information.
